Hello from 166 owner in GB
Hello fellow 166 owners, I found this site after reading about it in the Alfa Romeo Owners Club magazine. I own a 2.5 V6 166 in Volcano Black with cream leather interior. Its the best car ive ever owned and is a real pleasure to drive. Ill post some pictures very soon

The 166 is indeed a very great car. Especially with that fantastic V6 up front as you probably know. I am looking forward to your pictures.

As you can see Volcano Black is very dark purple.

That is a good looking car!
Very nice.
And by the looks of it no stone damage to the paint and bodywork, good job.
In what area of the UK can we find this beuaty?

Yes, the car is totally original and paintwork is in very good condition. The car has to be washed every week to keep the shine. Black is not easy to keep clean as you probably know. I give her a wax coating every month as well.

The effort shows, I wish mine was this good looking, but sadly mine needs a paint job before she shines again.

166's seem to be popular in your country. Here in the UK they are very rare. I think Alfa UK sold 2000 in the 8 years they were available. I think they might have sold more if they released the 2.4jtdm engine but they never did. I am lucky to see one in a month! Its nice to find a site like this where the 166 is appreciated as a truly great car.

In Holland there are under 3000 on the street today, but of coarse Holland is considerably smaller. So it is a car you see quite regularly, but by far not in the same numbers as the 164 at its peak. And you are right, a good amound of them are JTD engined.
But I know I didn't make the mistake of buying a dull German car.
