Re: Show me the shine!
The sound is not different, well maybe a very little... or my ears are too heavy metal-damaged to really notice It just looks better.
I still have plans to change the stock airbox and filter with a carbon CDA airbox in, and make sure the airflow remains cool and sufficient. If not winning any horsepower, I intend not to lose horses too, but if I can obtain the characteristic air-sucking-in grumble that'll get an even bigger smile on my face.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy I cant speak Dutch
Heheheheh.
That´s the secret weapon of the Dutch. Talk to everyone, listen to everyone in almost every language and if we want to gossip about someone, we can always talk the super complex Dutch language
(I was talking to Ton about a very microscopig dirty spot on his engine....)

Re: Show me the shine!
Thats true about the Dutch language. When i read european languauges like French, Italian or German I can sometimes understand what is going on but when i look at your posts i have no idea what is being said. It look really complicated.

Re: Show me the shine!
And its all about a dirt spot in the engine bay that is left there on purpose.
Was there when I bought the car and was left there. Nostalgia perhaps?
And the whole engine was quite dirty when I bought it more than 4 years a go. So one reminder of how it was is permitted I like to think.
And Dutch is not difficult for us. English is more a problem A specially wrighting an typing is more a problem for me than speaking English. But just going on with writhing and typing is the best way to get all the old stuff back in to business!
As long my English is better than your Dutch we keep the English Forum open and will not rename it to Dutch Forum. Okay?
Ciao.....euh, groetjes....euh, Bye

Re: Show me the shine!
@ Midlifecrisis,
Was it difficult to remove the rocker cover ?
is there a gaskit under the cover that needs to be replaced if you remove the cover ?
Have you got an before and after photo from the engine bay ?

Re: Show me the shine!
No the rocker cover is easy to remove. Just unscrew the 6 star bolts and it comes off. No gasket. The gasket is under the other cover that protects the camshafts etc. The rocker cover protects the coilpacks, thats all.
Its worth doing as a clean rocker cover really makes a difference
