Drove it for 12 years! And I miss the car. So there is an agreement between me and the man who bought it, that I can buy the 166 back in spring 2020, splendid!! The car is still in exelent condition, despite 272.000km. I bought it in 2006, and then it had gone just 68k. So its me that has put on the 200.000 km in 12 years. We drove the 166 twice to Italy and last time in spring 2018. We then visited the Alfa Romeo Museo. I have a picture of the 166 outside the Museo. Looking forward to drive and own the 166 again https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/p960x960/31760085_2555911077966588_945493460591312896_o.jpg?_nc_cat=101&_nc_ohc=bYl3CXFqPRYAQmfoPR7PxL5TcTL3hOCArpkQoATrcoBHhWDt5KUAMVb8A&_nc_ht=scontent-arn2-1.xx&oh=26f5462b60a715195bc8874cfdfdd4ee&oe=5E7AD99Dnondisclosed_email@example.com (Atle Johannessen)Sun, 08 Dec 2019 13:32:38 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronichttps://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2301103,from=rss#post2301103https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2301103,from=rss#post2301103Thanks for helping me to understand this. So if I understand you right, there is nobody at this forum that have found a fully working solution for free? you have to buy a license of Multieuscan and you have to find a way that the ELM327 can communicate with a modern computer with windows 10. So there is not one but 2 problems. Anybody who knows what the professionals is using? Fiat workshops? I'm thinking if there will be used ones at Ebay or something? Br. I tried other programs too, but the free ones are all similar. I am considering getting a license if I happen to find the cable again. Because the 166 contains so many ecu's and it helps so much with diagnosis. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Robkg)Tue, 14 Feb 2017 19:12:22 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronichttps://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2301090,from=rss#post2301090https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2301090,from=rss#post2301090Ok, you are probably right about the free license limitations. shame, the Multieuscan program seems professional. But: the big still remain open. What do you use to read out errors and delete them? * a paid license multieuscan? * or another program that fits the ELM327? * or a completely different method? And this one is a 92, from germany or Switzerland and has back seat heater. So I think its an Option for all markeds, but was not offered in southern Europa. The most interesting thing about the 164, is that you also could have electrical adjustments on the back seats. Like a really excpensive Mercedes. And in addition they made a sport car out of it with the QV, and a all wheel drive version like the Q4. Just think about what lovely 166 we could have had if they could make the same option on the 166 But then, there is a reasson for the special models on the 164. There was no sport model (GTV)from Alfa from 1986 to 1995. And the 164 and 155 sport versions was to be a "better than nothing" sort of deal.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Atle Johannessen)Tue, 02 Feb 2016 16:43:32 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronic - low power on low rpm..https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297152,from=rss#post2297152https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297152,from=rss#post2297152Hi Atle, Beautifull 164 indeed! I assume that winter in Netherlands is nothing like here in Norway? Well if you are going to visit our country in the wintertime you better take your 166s. Ive tried many cars over the last 10 years and 166s is the best wintercar so far. And is still the best of our 4 Alfas in the family. Ive mentioned that my 166 has sometimes a bit of jercing in constant speed at 80 - 90 km/t. Now when its really cold its running nice and smooth. So now i'm sure that the ZF transmission needs to be flushed and it needs new oil. The oils viskosity dont cope with heat anymore. Im doing it this spring at a ZF specialist. I have 3mm spacers on the wheels now. Im planning to go up to 10mm spacers. Any one who has any experience with this? our new Giulietta runs on 15mm spacers and this was mounted by the Alfa dealer. So i think that 10mm on the 166 is still ok. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Atle Johannessen)Thu, 28 Jan 2016 09:27:34 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronic - low power on low rpm..https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297085,from=rss#post2297085https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297085,from=rss#post2297085Very nice Alfas Atle nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ambros)Wed, 27 Jan 2016 21:43:20 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronic - low power on low rpm..https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297084,from=rss#post2297084https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297084,from=rss#post2297084Both cars are very nice! nondisclosed_email@example.com (AlfaArjen)Wed, 27 Jan 2016 21:40:50 +0000 Re: 166 2,5 V6 - Sportronic - low power on low rpm..https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297083,from=rss#post2297083https://balfaromeo166clubforum.runboard.com/p2297083,from=rss#post2297083Sorry for the double posting.
